Small Business Owners to Meet with Congress to Advocate for Digital Advertising

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Internet for Growth has organized a fly-in event, taking place from May 9-11, 2023 in Washington, D.C. that will better inform members of Congress and their policy staff on the importance of digital advertising to small businesses across the country.

Over the course of three days, 18 small business owners and entrepreneurs will be in Washington, D.C. to share their stories with Congressional representatives, demonstrating how crucial internet advertising is to a business’ health and, ultimately, to job creation and the economy at large. The event will also provide an opportunity for small business owners and entrepreneurs to network with one another, share best practices and tips, and ban together as proponents of the ad-supported internet.

Over two-thirds (67%) of small businesses rely on digital advertising tools such as social media, websites, email marketing, and more. Meeting with legislators in Washington, D.C. is an important step for them to hear directly from constituents about the value of data-driven digital advertising to our country, so they can be informed when making legislative decisions.
