When craftsmanship scales through digital advertising
Chase Murdock is a Salt Lake City–based operator, investor, and the CEO of Decada Group, a long-term holding company that acquires and permanently stewards small businesses in Utah.
His path began with Tailor Cooperative, a luxury custom clothier he founded in 2016 to revive old-world tailoring for a modern customer. Strategic use of digital advertising and social platforms allowed the business to reach customers who value craftsmanship and independent brands, driving more than fivefold growth and expansion into new markets. That success became the foundation for Decada Group.
Today, Chase applies those same digital growth principles across Decada’s portfolio of five businesses spanning fashion, accounting, fine art, electrical contracting, and a community platform for small business owners—using modern advertising tools to help durable, craft-driven companies grow without losing their identity.
In parallel, Chase writes essays through Patina Capital, exploring long-term ownership, stewardship, and the judgment required to build businesses meant to last
