Building a community of customers with social media

Misty Creek Boutique is an online women’s and young contemporary boutique offering unique and trendy clothing, shoes and accessories – my mission is to help girls and women love themselves even more through fashion. Digital marketing is always a challenge, especially as a new small business with limited time to devote to that side of the business. Since launching the boutique, I’ve focused my efforts on building my community of customers through Facebook and Instagram, and I’ve also started using Klaviyo for email marketing, which has been a game-changer! Continued engagement with current and potential customers through these channels is a huge priority of mine – I’ve started using a QR code and handing out social media cards at all of my pop-up sales and local markets to drive shoppers to my digital platforms, and offer promotions for those who use the QR code and sign up for my email newsletter. It’s always so hard not to feel overwhelmed and to stay true to your brand, but the success that we’ve started to see makes it all worth it. Women are wearing MY clothes, and are sending their friends my way as well!
